Where exactly is Buenos Aires, Argentina?
I did a lot of research pre-trip and found out that if you stay for more than a week in BA, your best bet is to rent an apartment or flat- sooo much cheaper and you get a more "homey" place to stay. So I used a reputable property management company and found this great little unit in the upscale area of Recoleta on Posadas and Callao streets, just a few blocks from the world famous cemetery. For about $40 US a day, we got a good size studio, free wireless internet, paid calls to the US and a local phone with a prepaid calling card. We signed up for Skype to web call the kids. Done! (We actually bought $10 worth of calls on Skype and used it to call cell phones in BA and back home. Our landline didn't include local, cell phone calls. ?? but it worked out better than I had hoped and I highly recommend Skype!)Home Sweet Home
So Argentina it is and here we come!
(Quick little into to Argentina if you are interested. Also I did most of my research on www.tripadvisor.com- I HIGHLY recommend it. The forum boards rock and they have a ton of friendly, helpful people willing to answer questions as needed.)
